Violet and I went to Cook for the day.  We stopped at Dad’s and he chauffeured us around the country side, taking the scenic route everywhere we went, something I really enjoy. 

Our first stop was to visit Sara, Kelly and Aaron who were visiting from the Twin Cities for the weekend.  We got to see Kelly’s photos from her recent European Adventure and she served us a delicious slice of pineapple cake.

Next we went to Aunt Esther’s to meet cousin Davey’s new black pug Buddy.  Although Buddy and Violet are the same age, Buddy is a little heftier.  Reggie, Elaine’s basset hound is jealously looking on at the meeting.

Siggie and Kathy stopped by and Elaine served some wonderful coffee ands.

Here are Kathy and Dad as we reminisced and had a wonderful afternoon.  Ann, were your ears burning??

Elaine made a delicious Rhubarb Cobbler with a little peach thrown in and topped it off with some vanilla ice cream.  We finished it off with a delicious, strong cup of Joe.

Davey had brought over some peonys from his garden.  Some say that he has a gift, quite a green thumb.  He claims he just has some good horse shit.
