Austin came over this evening and ran with Violet up and down the hallway until Violet was gasping for breath.  Those nostrils just aren’t big enough!  We then settled down and watched American Idol together.

She was resting quite nicely on the ottman and is getting to be quite a ham.  I have a hard time taking out the camera without her starting to pose.

I should have had her hold this pose a little longer, about 30 seconds after I took this picture she pooped on my lovely pillow!  She had been so good going on her puppy pads for two days solid…  I guess she was showing me who was boss.

Emily and Kai came over this afternoon to meet and play with Violet.  She was so worn out after they left that she napped for over an hour!

Violet has a buddy named Bailey (after George in It’s a Wonderful Life) who lives in the condo next door.  They have gotten together a couple of times and enjoy each other’s company.  Violet is usually the aggressor…  not unlike her Mom.

Now I know that it might be hard to believe that this inocent looking pooch could cause any harm, but she had attitude tonight.  I cannot take my shoes off unless I want my feet bitten raw with sharp little puppy teeth.  I punish her by not letting her up on the couch with me and then she pokes her head up over the edge of the hassock and stares at me.

Emily was in Colorado last weekend for her step-sister’s wedding.  She took some time to do a little ice skating.  Does it look to you like she is about to do some kind of spin or that she is trying not to fall?

“Chomp” (a.k.a. Violet) has started nipping and biting big time.  She doesn’t realize that I am not one of her litter mates.  So, although I can’t make her understand my cries of pain, I can and have introduced her to “time outs.”  How could someone so cute and loveable inflict so much pain…

Elizabeth and Ruby came over to visit this afternoon.  Ruby gave Violet a new chew toy which she has been obsessing over since they left.  Ruby took her for a good run up and down the hallway and wore her completely out.  Elizabeth told me that if I decided that I am not Dog Mommy material that Violet has a home waiting with them.   Hmmmm…..

Jane and Terry look like they are having an awesome time in Cozumel with their friends Gary and Brenda.  She reports that they have been snorkeling, cruising on a catamaran with a “Jack Sparrow” like captain, and have plans to do some parasailing.
