Co-worker Wendy reports that back in December while son Hunter was in Sunday School she and son Parker were waiting for him.  She had to run out to her car to get something and asked one of her church friends to keep an eye on Parker.  When she got back, she saw her friend chatting with another woman and Parker had wandered off into a playroom where he had discovered a blue marker and decided to have a little decorating fun!

Congratulations to Sara!  She found herself a job just a month after finishing her last few classes at UMD.  She is heading back down to The Cities and I will miss her.  We met for lunch today and who do you suppose was seated in the next booth but our old “Snob Hill” neighbors.. Carol Anderson and her daughter Ruth Talarico.  We had a nice visit and made plans to check out each others new “digs” in the near future.

Melissa would never forgive me if I didn’t post this photo…   Ann’s friend Jean gave her this photo from 1968 (I think I had the very same hairdo in 1968!).  Doesn’t she look young and fluent on those keys?

I had dinner with Emily and Kai last night, I looked forward to hearing about their LA-San Francisco adventure over break.  Their LA adventures included Disneyland (of course) and sailing with Kai’s Grandma.

It sounds like they covered SF pretty thoroughly, including a few food adventures and a beautiful sunset on the beach.

Update:  Cousin Sue informs me that the folks in this video are Slovakian acapella group...  her good eye perceived that they didn't quite look Finn..  Thanks, Sue!

Thanks to Jen who sent the latest photos of Josie and Bronson.  Of course my favorite is the one of them “reading.”  Josie is nine months old already and Bronson is growing like a weed.  Jen, thank you for your kind words about this “rag”, and keep sending updates.  We have forgiven you for moving down the street!

Thanks to Dan for sending this great photo of Bonnie, Grandma Nordis and Emily taken during Christmas.  Nordis is 89 and doing great.

On the back of the photo Kathy wrote “Resting on her ‘toast’ at Yogi Bear Campground on a quilt made by Grandma.  I put it on her one night and told her that ‘she’d be as warm as toast’ and since then she’s called it her toast!”  Thanks to Auntie Ann for the photo.

I have a hot date with this young man on Saturday…  Eli is such a good boy, very well behaved and is very entertaining.  I look forward to it.  He is just 19 months old.

Dr. Zhivago is my favorite movie of all time.  I just watched parts of it again a couple of weekends ago when it was playing in HD on one of my satellite stations.  Julie Christie, who played the infamous Lara, won a Golden Globe on Sunday for her latest movie Away from Here in which she plays a wife with Alhzheimers Disease.   She is just as beautiful today as she was back in the 60’s.
